Keyboard shortcuts in Growpost
Move between drafts, platforms and the calendar without the mouse.
If you're writing and adapting posts for multiple platforms regularly, the mouse is the slowest part of your workflow. Here's the current set of keyboard shortcuts in Growpost, and how they're meant to fit together.
Navigation
- G then D — jump to Drafts
- G then C — jump to the Calendar
- G then P — jump to Published
- / — focus the search bar from anywhere in the app
Editing a draft
- Cmd/Ctrl + Enter — save the current draft
- Cmd/Ctrl + [ / ] — move between platform tabs on the same draft, left and right
- Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + A — trigger platform adaptation for the current draft, generating versions for your other connected platforms
- Esc — exit the editor back to the drafts list without losing unsaved changes (they're kept as a local draft)
Scheduling
- S — open the scheduler for the current draft
- Arrow keys — move between days when the calendar view has focus
- Enter — confirm a selected date/time slot
- Cmd/Ctrl + Backspace — unschedule a post back to draft status
Calendar view
- Cmd/Ctrl + →/← — move forward or back a week
- T — jump back to today
- N — start a new draft from the currently selected date
A note on conflicts
Browser and OS-level shortcuts take priority in a few places — most notably, some Cmd/Ctrl combinations are reserved by the browser itself and won't reach the app. If a shortcut doesn't seem to fire, it's worth checking whether your browser or an extension is intercepting that combination before assuming it's broken.
Why this list is short on purpose
We've deliberately kept the shortcut set small rather than mapping every possible action to a key. A shortcut you have to look up defeats its own purpose — the ones above are the actions used often enough, in sequence, that memorizing them actually saves time. If you find yourself reaching for the mouse for something you do constantly and it's not listed here, that's useful feedback for us — tell us what it is.
