Connecting your accounts to Growpost
What to connect first and what each connection lets Growpost do.
Growpost doesn't require every platform connected on day one. Connect the ones you're actively posting to first, and add more as you need them.
What a connection actually enables
Connecting a platform lets Growpost do two things: generate a platform-specific version of your draft tuned to that platform's format and norms, and, if you choose, schedule or publish directly to it from the calendar instead of copy-pasting manually. You can also use Growpost purely as a drafting tool without connecting anything and export or copy-paste yourself — connections are for convenience, not required.
Where to start
If you're only active on one or two platforms, connect those first. Adding platforms you don't actually post to just clutters the editor's tab bar with versions you'll never look at. You can always connect more later from settings.
What each connection needs
Each platform's connection flow uses that platform's own authorization — you're granting Growpost permission through the platform itself, not handing over a password. What each one unlocks varies slightly by platform's API capabilities: some support direct scheduling, others support drafting and a one-click open-to-post handoff.
Disconnecting
Disconnecting a platform at any time removes Growpost's access without touching anything you've already posted. Drafts and past platform versions stay in your account; only future scheduling or generation for that platform stops.
A reasonable order to connect in
If you're setting up from scratch, connect in the order you actually post: your primary platform first, then whichever one you're trying to grow next. There's no benefit to connecting everything at once beyond saving a few minutes later — and every unused connection is one more thing to eventually decide whether to revoke.
