A tour of the Growpost editor
Where your master draft lives and how each platform version branches from it.
The editor is built around one idea: you write once, and every platform version stays connected back to that original draft instead of becoming its own disconnected copy.
The master draft
When you start a new post in Growpost, you're writing a master draft — not a LinkedIn post or an X post specifically. This is the source of truth. Edit it, and every platform version that branches from it knows where it came from.
Platform tabs
Along the top of the editor sit tabs for each connected platform — LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube captions, whichever you've set up. Clicking a tab generates a platform-specific version of the master draft: trimmed for X's character limit, restructured for LinkedIn's scanning pattern, reworded for Threads' more conversational tone.
Editing a platform version
Each tab is independently editable. Adjusting the X version doesn't touch your LinkedIn version — they've branched. This matters because a caption that works everywhere unchanged usually works nowhere particularly well. The tabs exist so you can adapt without losing track of what the original point was.
Pulling changes back
If you edit the master draft after already generating platform versions, you'll see a prompt on each tab letting you re-sync that version from the updated master — without wiping out platform-specific edits you've already made, if you don't want it to.
The calendar view
Next to the editor is the content calendar, where scheduled and drafted posts sit on a timeline across all your connected platforms at once. It's the view for seeing gaps — a week with nothing scheduled for Threads, for instance — rather than checking each platform separately.
That's the shape of it: one draft, several branches, one calendar to see it all laid out.
